With so many clothing companies in America selling the concept of clothing that covers, Pure was founded to bring the “modest layering top” to the UK and Europe. We, the founders of Pure, are Sarah Southall and Karen Basford of Telford, Shropshire.
We are completely devoted to the idea of keeping it covered, while still being able to wear the latest high street trends. Like so many of you out there we were tired of feeling excluded from the world of fashion simply because we didn’t want to show a bit of skin. Fortunately, the frustration of nothing but racks of revealing clothes is a thing of the past.
We have added our own twist to the “modest top” and after 6 months of product development and testing we are proud to introduce the Pure Top – the perfect layering top, which has a unique, innovative finish around the neck and arms which stays in place unlike so many of the other layering tops available elsewhere. We call it the no-gape neck and we think that this and many of the other features of the Pure Top really will change the way you dress forever. It did for us! We never go a day without one!
We have been good friends for the last four years (over the last six months, practically inseparable) and live two streets away from each other. Sarah is from Virginia, USA, is married to Tom who designed our website, and has a daughter, Skye, and a son, Asher. Karen is from Hull, is married to Colin who is our accountant, and has a son, Ethan.
