Pure Clothing is Sarah Southall from Virginia, USA and Karen Basford from Shropshire, UK. With so many clothing companies in America selling the concept of clothing that covers, in 2006 we decided to bring the "modest layering top" to the UK and Europe and Pure was born.
We are completely devoted to the idea of subtle modesty: keeping it covered whilst still being able to wear the latest high street trends. Like so many of you out there we were tired of feeling excluded from the world of fashion simply because we didn't want to show a bit of skin. Fortunately, the frustration of nothing but racks of revealing clothes is a thing of the past. With our innovative products, you wear what you want but stay modest at the same time.
We have added our own twist to the "modest top" and after 6 months of product development and testing we are proud to introduce the Pure Top – the perfect layering top, which has a unique, innovative finish around the neck and arms which stays in place unlike so many of the other layering tops available elsewhere. We call it the no-gape neck and we think that this and many of the other features of the Pure Top really will change the way you dress forever. It did for us! We never go a day without one!
We have been good friends for the years. Sarah is from Virginia, USA and lived in Shropshire for ten years before recently returning to the USA. She is married to Tom who designed our website. They have a daughter, Skye, and two sons, Asher and Finn. Karen is originally from Yorkshire and is married to Colin who is our accountant. They have two sons, Ethan and Lucas.
